POSITION OVERVIEW The Avionics Apprentice supports the maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics systems in accordance with approved drawings, manuals, and company procedures. This role assists with both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, performs basic technical functions, and helps maintain shop equipment and inventory. The apprentice is expected to follow all safety requirements, use proper PPE, document work accurately, and carry out additional duties as assigned. This position plays an important role in upholding Alpine Aerotech’s high standards of quality, professionalism, and brand excellence. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AVIONICS APPRENTICE Perform maintenance and installation of avionics systems in accordance with applicable drawings and manuals. Troubleshoot avionics systems to diagnose and perform adjustments, service, repairs and modifications according to SOPs. Perform and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. Demonstrate capability to understand and perform various technical functions associated to aircraft. Assist in the management of inventory. Assist in maintaining shop equipment. Be prepared to apply safe work practices with proper PPE. Fulfill additional duties as required. Uphold an unwavering standard of excellence that impeccably represents the Alpine Aerotech brand. OUR MUST HAVES Graduation from a Transport Canada accredited Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, Category ‘E’ program. Valid driver’s license. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to generate high quality deliverables. Strong time and project management skills and self-motivation. Robust interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, and professional maturity with demonstrated ability to effectively interact and build professional relationships.
