You will develop the 0-24-month IBP forecast by brand and at the stock keeping unit (SKU) level. You will coordinate, challenge and influence building block with input from sales, marketing and other partners. In addition, you will review the disaggregated short-term demand plan, which includes SKU/location mix and weekly pacing. Finally, you will provide the finalized detailed demand plan by SKU to supply planners and adjust it based on feedback from supply planners or commercial teams. How you will contribute You will: Contribute to the demand management cycle of the integrated business planning (IBP) process for your categories and to strategy and structure discussions Liaise with the commercial and operational teams and develop ways to continuously improve communication between the functions to support the delivery of the business KPIs for their families Manage forecast compilation process, which includes owning the short-term weekly plan and the long-term forecast (three or more months) Interact with modelling team to generate statistical forecasting Participate in the integrated business planning process and manage the demand planning tool Perform root-cause analysis for continuous plan improvement for key service issues, forecast error and bias, and share output with appropriate leadership What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: Experience in a fast-moving consumer goods or consumer packaged goods environment, preferably in food or other fast moving, dynamic industry where shelf life is a constraint Experience within an IBP/S&OP environment Able to influence cross-functional teams, working on priorities and improving the plan Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical skills – and able to understand and interpret data Strong verbal and written communication skills Team player who can work with many other functions on a daily basis More about this role The Customer Demand Planner is a key contributor to the Demand Planning segment of the Integrated Business Planning process, by leading the short to mid-term forecast planning (0-6 months) with key inputs from CBT and external customers (where applicable). This role will serve to facilitate multiple forums; generating insight and in turn will provide demand inputs accordingly. This forecast output is utilized for Revenue reporting, Production Planning and deployment to Mdlz locations. Customer Demand Planning partners with the Category Demand Planning team and is a joint owner of gap reconciliation between the category and customer level forecast. In addition to forecasting responsibilities, this person may be asked to lead root cause analysis, innovation management, or other ad hoc collaboration initiatives. The position will interface with Sales, Sales Strategy, Category Demand Planning, Supply Planning and others to communicate this forecast that drives our Operating Plan as well as supports key CS&L metrics and overall business results. An understanding of Supply Chain principles is required. Goals: Lead the build and articulation of customer demand forecast in 0-6 months Alignment between Customer, Sales and IBP forecast. Responsibilities: 1) Reporting and Analytics Build an un-biased/un-constrained CBT recommended category/PPG/sku shipment forecast using cross-functional inputs, consumption/shipment analysis and overlays that will be used for Revenue reporting, Production Planning and deployment downstream. Review the disaggregated short-term demand plan, which includes SKU/location mix and weekly pacing. Socialize customer forecast at a consolidated category view. Maintain key parameters in APO such as proper sku mix, innovations, phase out and discontinuations. Ensure that an accurate forecast is passed through the system with appropriate communication to Operations as part of the S&OE process. Facilitate communication of updates/exceptions, explain variances vs. prior year, annual contract and prior estimate, and report on forecast accuracy. Perform root-cause analysis for continuous plan improvement for key service issues, forecast error and bias to be shared on monthly KPI review. Provide thought leadership and act as the subject atter expert in reporting insights to strengthen segment, brand and category efforts by customer Clearly communicate all assumptions, drivers, risks and opportunities within and outside current forecast plan Present data to cross functional teams to shape new product launches, customer intelligence, and rationalization; influencing execution decisions 2) Cross Functional team interactions Lead innovation meetings with the CBTs to ensure forecasts reflect latest trends and assumptions and production schedule supports this forecast. Lead KAM Forum between Sales and Demand Planning to review and align on the short-term forecast and update the forecast accordingly. Participate in weekly Pace meetings and pressure test/challenge monthly roll up. Partner with the CBT on Lockdown presentation and facilitate 30/60/90 updates to the Demand Planning team. Partner with the CBT on COP bridge, providing key insights effecting plan Own the bottom-up build of the forecast within the lockdown horizon and participate as required in IBP cross functional meetings to represent customer forecast. Elevate to Sales and Sales Planning partners any forecast gaps on special pack, innovation, limited edition forecast between Mondelēz and customer. Communicate to Supply Planning partners any potential supply interruptions as a result of customer requirement changes. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree is required. 3+ years' related experience in Planning in Supply Chain or Sales is required, and preferably within the CPG industry. PowerBI experience is an asset. MS Office tools efficiency - Windows environment: Intermediate Excel and Power point Strong communication skills; ability to articulate issues both verbally and in writing, outlining possible solutions. Proficiency in data analytics and gathering fact-based insight based on trends. Experience leading Consensus forums where negotiation and influencing skills will be essential. This will be a customer facing role that will work closely with the Sales team and where relationship exist, with the customer demand counterparts, in forecast generation for all categories. This role will be responsible for achieving customer forecast performance targets.
