As Admissions Coordinator, you will collaborate with our high-functioning team to support admissions, recruitment, registration and student communication for Undergraduate Medical Education Enrolment Services. Your exceptional communications and interpersonal skills will help us drive engagement of a diverse applicant pool, learners and stakeholders alike, and promote meaningful content through various digital platforms. Your proven ability to respond to changing priorities in a highly dynamic student services environment is essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to admissions and recruitment inquiries in-person, and by phone and email; acting as the first point of contact in the Student Enrolment Services Centre
- Assisting with the coordination of recruitment and admission events (i.e. organizing materials, arranging catering, booking rooms and audio visual) and disseminating post-event feedback surveys and questionnaires
- Updating and maintaining relevant Enrolment Services website content, social media accounts and internal communication templates and resources
- Supporting with online and onsite training by scheduling training sessions, drafting and editing training content and coordinating logistical details
- Updating and maintaining the applicant tracking database and producing statistical reports as required
- Supporting the Admissions Advisory Committee by taking and distributing meeting minutes
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years in university admissions environment
- Demonstrated experience using and maintaining an online database system
- Experience with web content development, data collection, and online communication strategies
- Proven success in dealing effectively with prospective and current students
- Familiarity with issues and trends in student recruitment, admissions, and communication
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, problem solving and communication (oral and written) skills are required
- Proven ability to exercise judgement, tact, diplomacy and a high degree of initiative
- Must be able to deal effectively and professionally with a diverse pool of students, applicants, faculty, staff and members of the public
- Superior ability to prioritize competing demands and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service

- Experience withCRM and/or SIS database
- Experience using ROSI, Quercus and survey tools

USW Pay Band 09 -- $67,916. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $86,855. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
