Job Description: Under the direction of the Manager, the Therapy Educator - integrates knowledge and skill reflective of the Client Centered Service mode of care and principles of adult learning, in the provision of education, research, and quality client centered care for a defined group of clients and interdisciplinary team within the program. The incumbent will provide visible, proactive leadership and promote the delivery of client centered care through identified educational programming. In collaboration with the Manager, the Therapy Educator is responsible for assessing learning needs of staff, planning, implementing, and evaluating education activities/programs. The Therapy Educator will use a consultative approach and research findings to provide support to health care professionals as appropriate. Positions will have specific responsibilities related to specialized client needs and clinical knowledge within the designated program.

Experience
Experience in teaching adults, facilitation skills, and leading group activities
3 years experience in the specific clinical area required
Requires experience in program/resource development related to needs assessment.
Requires experience in planning, program design, implementation, and evaluation.
1 year previous experience in adult education
Education
A minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy.
