to hear from you. This role will require the successful candidate to reside in
Eastern Canada with less than 25% travel requirements and near an international
airport for travel. As a senior user experience (UX) researcher, you will be
supporting software projects across the organization. Your proximity to clinics,
users, and patients will allow you to develop a close, collaborative
relationship with our customers to enable the entire team’s user-centered
approach. In this role, you will be joining our UX team and reporting to our
manager of user research. You will collaborate cross-functionally with
best-in-class product managers, designers, developers, and more, and own the
entire research process from ideation to the delivery of insights to the team
and our executives. If you join us, you will: Gain deep understanding about
users with explorative and generative user research, especially in new domains.
Identify user needs, behaviors, and motivations to inform product strategy and
innovation. Translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights and
strategic recommendations. Partner with cross-functional teammates - interaction
and visual designers, product managers, and other stakeholders - to identify
research needs, goals, and questions, and then plan and execute tactical and
foundational research. Moderate inspiring ideation workshops with a global
multi-disciplinary team. Define measurable goals for product user experience to
align with the project team on the right thing to build combined with a set of
testable metrics. Ensure that user insights are reflected in design concepts and
solutions. Advocate for end users and promote a research- and data-driven
culture across the organization. You are exactly the right person for this
position if you are passionate about contributing to the design and development
of highly relevant solutions. Additionally, we would like to see the following
experience and mindset: A master’s degree in human-computer interaction,
psychology or a related field. 8+ years of experience of industry experience in
user research with deep knowledge and experience utilizing a variety of research
methods, especially with a focus on explorative and generative methods. Proven
ability to think conceptually and work in ambiguous, early-stages of product
development and balancing constraints within a regulated industry. Extensive
experience in collaborating with product management, designers and developers to
impact strategic decisions. Strong communication skills and the ability to tell
compelling stories with data and insights to product teams and upper management
roles. Medical knowledge or experience designing medical devices is a strong
