Position Name: SOLUTION ARCHITECT – AZURE, .NET, AND GCP
Experience:
12+ Years Overall
Location: Vaughan, Working in Hybrid mode (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
Pay: $140-150K (All Inclusive)
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, .NET development, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to design, architect, and guide the implementation of modern, scalable, and secure enterprise solutions.
The ideal candidate will serve as a technical leader, collaborating closely with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and clients to deliver high-quality cloud-native and hybrid architectures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Design scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions across Azure and GCP environments.
· Lead the architecture for .NET-based applications, including microservices, APIs, and distributed systems.
· Develop solution blueprints, architectural diagrams, and technology roadmaps.
· Ensure architectural decisions align with business requirements, compliance, and best practices.
· Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including app re-platforming, containerization, and migration strategies.
· Architect solutions using Azure services (App Services, AKS, Functions, API Management, Cosmos DB, AD, etc.) and GCP equivalents (GKE, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, etc.).
· Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or Deployment Manager.
· Provide hands-on technical leadership to engineering teams through the full SDLC.
· Review solution designs, code, and deployment pipelines to ensure quality and maintainability.
· Collaborate with DevOps teams to design CI/CD pipelines across Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GCP Cloud Build.
· Serve as the subject-matter expert for cloud architecture, security, and integration patterns.
· Work directly with clients and internal business teams to gather requirements and define scalable architectures.
· Present architecture options and recommendations in a clear and business-friendly manner.
· Support RFPs, proposals, and technical pre-sales activities.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· 10+ years of overall software engineering experience with at least 4+ years in solution architecture.
· Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud architecture (IaaS, PaaS, networking, identity, security).
· Solid understanding of GCP core services, cloud-native design, and multi-cloud integration patterns.
· Expert-level proficiency in .NET / .NET Core, microservices, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
· Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS/GKE).
· Practical experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
· Strong understanding of cloud security, IAM, VPC design, and best practices.
· Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-focused solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
· Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Microsoft Certified Developer.
· Experience with event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub, Event Grid, Service Bus, Kafka).
· Knowledge of data platforms (SQL, NoSQL, BigQuery, Synapse).
· Experience with API gateway technologies (Azure API Management, Apigee, Kong).
· Background in multi-tenant SaaS architecture is a bonus.
