Ready for a challenge?
Then Just Eat Takeaway.com might be the place for you. We’re a leading global online food delivery platform, and our vision is to empower everyday convenience.
Whether it’s a Friday-night feast, a post-gym poke bowl, or grabbing some groceries, our tech platform connects tens of millions of customers with hundreds of thousands of restaurant, grocery and convenience partners across the globe.
About this role:
As a Senior Product Designer at Skip/JET, you'll be part of a UX team looking after the apps and websites our customers and partners use for delivery of food, groceries and more!
You’ll work with an empowered cross-functional team that prioritises using research and data to help understand the problem space, before moving through the design process to deliver engaging and user-friendly solutions.
We want to discover what our users will love as soon as we can. We like to explore user problems in-depth and we like to speak with users regularly, to explore what we are working on and help us understand their needs.
You'll be part of a passionate UX team of 80+ UX designers, UI designers, product designers, service designers, researchers and writers across 7 countries.
Location: Hybrid- 3 days a week from our Toronto office & 2 days working from home
Reporting to: Team Lead Product Design
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Focus on the most critical user problems, bringing clarity to ambiguous spaces and proposing innovative, evidence-based solutions that balance user needs with business priorities.
Rapidly explore and refine ideas: produce process flows, user journeys, service maps, wireframes, interaction models, visual design mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes to clearly communicate behaviour and intent.
Operate across the full product lifecycle — from early concept and framing through delivery — producing documentation, low- and high-fidelity prototypes, and polished UI that meets or elevates product quality standards.
Partner closely with engineering and product management to shape scope, build cross-functional alignment, and ensure high-quality implementation; present work with clarity and influence at all levels of the organisation.
Collaborate deeply with UX researchers and independently conduct usability studies when needed; translate insights into clear design direction and measurable improvements.
Work with product management to define and evolve the design roadmap, anticipate dependencies, manage timelines, and advocate for design priorities across multiple streams of work.
What will you bring to the table?
6+ years of experience in a UX/UI or Product Design role with a strong track record of leading complex or cross-team initiatives.
Ability to drive work end-to-end — from shaping ambiguous problem spaces and defining direction to delivering polished, production-ready solutions with clear rationale.
Experience guiding teams within agile/sprint-based environments, influencing both product strategy and execution.
Deep cross-functional collaboration experience with product, research, data, engineering, and operations, with the ability to align stakeholders toward a shared outcome.
Expertise designing for multi-platform ecosystems (iOS, Android, responsive web) and making platform-aware decisions that balance craft, usability, and scalability.
Proven experience evolving, governing, and contributing to design systems at scale, including patterns, tokens, documentation, and cross-team adoption.
Strong command of user research practices, including unmoderated testing tools (Maze, usertesting.com), and an ability to translate insights into actionable design direction.
Advanced prototyping skills (Figma, etc.) to explore interactions, communicate intent, and reduce ambiguity for partners and engineers.
Confident communicator capable of presenting to senior leadership, influencing decisions, and advocating for design quality across the organization.
Extensive experience facilitating workshops, co-creation sessions, and design sprints that drive alignment, momentum, and clarity in complex problem spaces.
A strong sense of ownership with the ability to think strategically, anticipate downstream impacts, creatively solve problems, and proactively advance business and product objectives.
