Products Canada is seeking a passionate Health & Safety Manager, responsible for
all activities and education related to health and safety and applicable
legislation. Providing guidance to the location’s leadership team as with our
employees to adopt best behavior and procedures to reflect the priority and
focus we have on health and safety. This role acts as an ambassador of our
culture and values and will be responsible for the Georgetown facility. Work
Location: Georgetown (Primary), Orangeville Schedule: Days/ On Call Salary :
$90,530 to 118,820 Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience,

that matter: Collaborate closely with peer group in executing company safety
policies by providing training and education to ensure that employees follow
Corporate and Governmental Safety Standards (OHSA/MOL) Support, coach and
empower the Management team as well as the local health and safety team and
Joint committee members to act as a business partner for all health and safety
related activities. Work in collaboration with the Corporate Health & Safety
team as well as other Ontario Health & Safety Specialists to foster and promote
a culture of employee engagement and continuous learning. Influence change
though comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis and proactively
review and execute safety programs. Conduct frontline employee risk review and
hazard assessments. Maintain regular floor presence to promote positive
relations and ensure a healthy and safe working environment. Provide guidance
and review of site incidents in developing supervisor’s skills in investigating
and preparing detailed reports with strong corrective actions. Audit the
facilities for legislative and corporate compliance and associated behaviors to
ensure that training, and preventative measures are addressing areas of
opportunity. Support the deployment and integration of human organizational
performance (HOP) for local Health and Safety team and operation and warehouse
teams. Facilitate Learning Teams as needed. Partner with local agencies to
develop strong relationships while developing a knowledge base within the
dairy/food industry. Other duties as assigned. You are best suited for the role
if you have the following qualifications: A degree/diploma in Health and Safety
or equivalent work experience. Registered as Canadian registered safety
professional (CRSP), an asset. 2-3 years of Health and Safety experience in a
medium to large organization. An ideal candidate has experience in HOP, training
delivery, coaching and is motivated to seek and understand problems in a
methodical way. Ability to communicate key HOP messages to senior leaders, site
leaders, workforce and business partners Understanding in operational learning
methodologies that include both learning from incidents and learning from normal
work. Ability to evaluate safeguards for error likely scenarios. Possess a
thorough understanding of local and Ontario provincial regulations; CSA
standards and ISO 45001 Recognized leadership and autonomy, excellent
communication, planning and work organization skills Team oriented and strong
ability to engage people. Proficiency reporting in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
