Seymour Pacific Developments is looking for a Civil Superintendent to support project operations throughout Vancouver Island. The Civil Superintendent is responsible for the start and completion of all civil works on multi-building, multi-family, residential construction sites. Your contributions to the team:
Understand construction drawings and the scope of the tasks required
Can establish and follow committed scheduling
Follow established direction and coordinate site activities
Work on a congested site with other trades
Follow, plans and specifications and implement a quality control site-based program
Uphold and enforce company safety regulations, policies and procedures
Handle multiple crews simultaneously, while giving direction and training
What you need to be successful:
Minimum 5 years’ civil construction experience in a leadership role
Residential and commercial construction experience
Understanding of methodology and terminology in the civil construction industry
Experience supervising a construction crew
Ability to operate all types of heavy equipment in a safe and productive manner
Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and other construction drawings
Ability to direct survey crew and have a complete understanding of stakes and grades
Ability to set up lines and grades with lasers or a construction level
Working experience in earthworks and utility installation inspections
Experience using MS Office Suite and construction related software
Must be able to delegate tasks and responsibilities to the crew
Knowledge of civil construction and utilities is required
