Position Overview
Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy (FSHA), an all-girls Catholic high school dedicated to educating young women for a life of faith, integrity, and excellence, is seeking an experienced Head Volleyball Coach (Secondary Level). The ideal candidate is a passionate and skilled leader who can inspire student-athletes, promote sportsmanship, and develop a competitive and inclusive volleyball program aligned with FSHA’s mission and values.
Season: Spring 2026- Winter 2026
Compensation: $12,000- $25,000
Primary Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all aspects of the secondary-level volleyball program, including practice planning, match preparation, athlete development, and overall program strategy.
Teach fundamental and advanced volleyball techniques, including serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and defensive strategies.
Create a positive, disciplined, and safe training environment reflecting Catholic values and school expectations.
Mentor student-athletes in personal growth, academic balance, teamwork, and leadership.
Coordinate match schedules, transportation, equipment, communication with staff, parents, and administration.
Recruit, train, and supervise assistant coaches as needed.
Ensure compliance with CIF, league, and FSHA athletic and safety regulations.
Attend required coaches’ meetings, professional development sessions, and school events related to the athletic program.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Previous Head Coach experience in Volleyball required.
Demonstrated expertise in coaching volleyball techniques, conditioning, and team management.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Commitment to fostering an empowering and inclusive environment for young women.
Willingness to uphold the mission and values of a Catholic school; candidates of all faith backgrounds are welcome to apply.
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Any league coaching certifications, or willingness to complete them prior to the season
