Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Drive improvement in plant quality performance: warranty, customer PPM’s, internal PPM’s, scrap, etc.• Ensure the quality team is fully qualified and consistently exceeding expectations.• Plan aggressive plant quality objectives and drive the action plans to achieve those objectives in accordance with IATF and customer specific requirements.• Manage Customer Quality Rejects and Returned Material and 8D Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Actions.• Assign Corrective Actions to the appropriate person for follow-up. Ensure corrective action processes are comprehensive, fast and effective.• Support plant safety objectives and those of the CFT (Cross Functional Team) by participating in monthly Safety-First audits and JHSC meetings• Report quality systems results and metrics• Ensure all new and changed products are fully validated for compliance and capability prior to implementation, and proper approvals.• Ensure all new and changed processes are fully validated for compliance and capability prior to implementation, and proper approvals.• Maintain required or desirable plant certifications and compliance to all customer specific requirements (IAOB listed and non-listed), Dana Division and Corporate requirements.
• Communicate performance and critical issues appropriately through the organization, customers and suppliers.
5+ years experience as Quality Leader/Manager
Detailed Knowledge of ISO 9001:2000 & TS16949
Management experience in a Union facility, strong tactical/strategic thinking balance.
