Reporting to the Nurse Manager Inpatient Services, the Medical Clerk Interpreter is responsible for providing general assistance in clinical and patient areas and performs clerical and administrative duties as required. The incumbent is responsible for providing interpreting services in Inuktitut and English (both written and oral) between patients, nurses, doctors, laboratory, radiology and pharmacy staff, and other visitors to the hospital (example family). Positions in the inpatient unit are scheduled in 12 hours shift rotating schedule: 4 days on /4 days off and alternate between days and nights; weekdays and weekends
