This position is part of the Association of the Academic Staff of the University of Alberta (AASUA).
The successful candidate will be offered a tenure-track appointment with the rank of Assistant Professor, which is in accordance with the Academic Faculty Agreement, and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
Location - This role is in-person. Work primarily takes place at North Campus, Edmonton.
Situated on Treaty Six territory, the Faculty of Education at the University of Alberta invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor (tenure track) in Adult, Community and Higher Education (ACHE). The Adult, Community and Higher Education program provides advanced study for individuals who work with adults in educative roles within a variety of institutional, community, and workplace settings locally, nationally, and internationally. The program area is guided by principles focused on the inclusion of diverse learners and the creation of equitable, accessible learning spaces. We emphasize a vision of adult education that includes first generation learners, learners who carry strong education experiences in non-formal learning contexts, and/or learners who have been marginalized by dominant social or institutional narratives. The appointment is expected to begin on July 1, 2026.
