A Certified Parts Clerk manages inventory, orders, and sales of replacement parts for vehicles or equipment, balancing customer service (internal/external), accurate record- keeping (manual/computerized), and supplier relations, often requiring formal training/apprenticeship in inventory management and specific parts (auto, heavy-duty, etc.) for efficient operations and ensuring parts availability. This position is located in Charlottetown, PEI Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Receive, stock, track, and organize parts and materials Maintain accurate inventory levels and records Prepare requisitions for stock replenishment Manage obsolete inventory, core returns, and warranty returns Procurement & Vendor Relations Order parts and materials in a timely and cost-effective manner Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes Meet with vendors to assess products and services Expedite parts and services as required Administrative Duties Manage inventory and procurement software systems Process purchase orders, invoices, returns, and credits Maintain accurate records and perform data entry as needed Supplier Relations Negotiate pricing and terms with vendors Ensure timely delivery of parts and materials Manage warranties and returns Evaluate vendor performance and service quality Operational Support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts area Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures Operate forklifts or other equipment when required Required Skills & Qualifications Education High school diploma required Specialized training, apprenticeship (minimum 3 years), or a related college program preferred Technical Skills Proficiency with inventory management software Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel Accurate and efficient data entry skills Industry Knowledge Familiarity with parts and components (automotive, heavy equipment, or similar industries) and their applications Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Problem-solving mindset Customer-focused with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift, stand, walk, and use hands for computer and written tasks Good vision and hearing Other Requirements Valid driver’s license with a clean driving abstract What We Offer Competitive wage: $35/hour Comprehensive benefits package Paid vacation Opportunities for growth and career development We thank you for your interest.
