Position Summary
An independent professional who designs, prototypes and tests power electronics for ultraviolet light sources in support of Engineering and Product Development initiatives for water and wastewater treatment equipment. Works as part of a team in a collaborative environment to develop and maintain technologies for products. These products treat water and wastewater for over one billion people globally.
Accountabilities
Assist with the design of power electronics for ultraviolet light sources, working under the supervision of a senior design specialist
Execute projects with oversight, but will be expected to execute the tactical elements through their own expertise
Assist with the selection and application of conversion topologies and control circuits for Power circuit design
Prototype and test power electronic assemblies
Support thermal design, analysis and testing
Create and maintain documentation including schematic, bills of materials and drawings
Create technical reports for test performed
Perform troubleshooting of electronic assemblies, providing input to failure analysis
Use programming tools to program and debug micro-controller devices
Collaborates with peers, interns and cross-functionally

Qualifications
BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant education + experience
Experience (2+ years) in electronics design
Understanding of switching power conversion topologies and control methods
Experience with PC based CAD - schematic capture and printed circuit board design - is a valuable asset
Knowledge of power electronics testing
Experienced in prototyping and testing of electronic board assemblies.
