Our U.S. Corporate Tax Services group is a team of professionals who assist Canadian businesses manage U.S. taxes in a cross-border context. Our practice is growing, and we require strong professionals to join our dynamic U.S. tax team in Calgary.
KPMG provides U.S. tax compliance and advisory services, which includes assisting clients with their U.S. federal and state tax return filing requirements, and a wide range of tax consulting services such as assisting clients in determining their optimal U.S. tax structure and advising on internal restructurings to lower an organization’s overall effective tax rate.

What you will do
Prepare and review U.S. corporate and partnership tax returns for multinational clients
Prepare and review U.S. tax provisions for public and private companies
Work closely with Managers and Partners on tax planning and advisory engagements
Research and analyze a wide variety of U.S. and cross-border tax issues
Interact with clients and team members from various other service lines
What you bring to the role
Minimum 2 years’ experience in Tax; prior experience in a public accounting firm preferred
Completed or working towards a US CPA designation or Enrolled Agent Circular 230 designation
Income tax accounting and tax provisions experience considered an asset
Highly detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to make sound and well-reasoned decisions
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, and able to work effectively within diverse teams and across service lines
The ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Continuous learning mindset and a natural curiosity to stay updated on evolving tax laws, regulations, and best practices, and to share that knowledge with others
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to interact with clients
