About
What makes an effcient Plant Manager ?
First as a Plant Director you have to deal with various and numerous topics : people, technics, maintenance, safety, customers, quality, finance, … Every day is a different day bringing new challenges, issues, sometimes recognition, sometimes disappointment. You have to be flexible , focused an be able to provide the appropriate respons to every issue you are facing.
What makes the difference between two companies is the people part of the organization . I’m first focusing on people to make sure they are working in a safe and healthy place , giving their best and not being ( too ) reluctant coming to work and in some words making them proud of their job.
This role is a new challenge for me . I’ve done all my career within Saint-Gobain and it is time for me now to have a new position in a new company . A possible return to my preferred position as Site Director. I told you I’m interested in the other cultures and it would be a nice opportunity to work with a foreign company.
This role is interesting because it’s not only about increasing productivity and reducing manpower . It’s about bringing the site at the performance level at the best standards and in accordance with the expectations of the market.
Obviously, my experience in glass manufacturing, in managing production teams and industrial sites, driving critical projects and succeeding in my previous positions is supporting my application.
I’m not afraid by new and serious challenges and getting out of my comfort zone. I’m a technical expert and an experienced manager but what would make the difference is my ability to get the best performance from the people and from the manufacturing process. Always focusing on improving the performances, on fine tuning, on anticipating to reach excellence. I’m rigorous, methodic, obstinate and convinced there is always an option.
My experience in industry and manufacturing is also a school for excellence. There is no excuse, every mistake has a high cost and you learn to think twice and anticipate in every decision.
This experience is also relying on my journey with Saint-Gobain which is a 350 yar old company, leader in providing construction solutions. I’ve always been teached to rethink things over every day to remain the leader, innovating and supporting customers in helping them also making the difference.
