How You’ll Spend Your Day As a Dishwasher at the Deerfield Pub, you’ll play a vital role in keeping the heart of our kitchen running smoothly. You’ll work closely with our culinary team to ensure all dishware, cookware, and kitchen tools are clean, sanitized, and ready for service. Your day-to-day will include: Operating our commercial dishwasher to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, and utensils Hand-washing delicate or oversized items Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized dish area Taking out kitchen garbage and recycling, and cleaning bins regularly Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors to keep work areas safe and tidy Assisting with basic food prep and closing duties as needed Following food safety and sanitation standards Reporting any equipment issues or safety concerns promptly What Will Help You Thrive You take pride in a clean, well-run kitchen You’re dependable, punctual, and ready to work hard You work well under pressure and keep a cool head during busy shifts You’re respectful and communicate clearly with kitchen teammates You’re comfortable with physical work, including standing for long periods, lifting, and moving quickly Previous kitchen or dishwashing experience is an asset but not required—we provide training!
