Together. .This position has a base compensation range of CAD $75,000.00 to CAD $90,000.00. Salary determination considers your skills, experience, job location, internal pay equity, and job architecture. Hellmann Worldwide Logistics regularly reviews our pay ranges against industry standards to ensure fairness. The Air Product Pricing Desk Analyst will be an essential part of a central pricing team which will cover all of Canada. The team will be responsible for working with the Air organization to provide our internal and external customers with pricing for all air export and import shipments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Executes pricing for transactional spot and multilane quotations for transactional customers based on standard quotation templates for both import and export cargo. Fill in RFQ’s / RFP‘s Obtains pricing levels from sources provided by the procurement teams Request client / routed overseas business target rate, when possible, to determine if any opportunity to increase margins on standard Pelorus rates Executes pricing for network requests for routed transactional business opportunities Escalate pricing issues for routed business to Manager Provide consistent feedback to Airfreight Mgmt. to ensure current/correct service, transit time, and rate validity are correctly specified in PPQ tool. Validates adherence to standard pricing instructions given by country product management Coordinates and gathers missing information from various resources if not available in the central depository including from CA product management, local procurement management, and overseas offices Assembles and publishes selling quote to customer or overseas office in standardized format Support execution of global, regional and trade lane Airfreight commercial strategy & carrier policy Follow-up on quotes and provide KPI analysis on win ratio to management. Develops resources from intelligence gathered on pricing and quotes on lanes not included in PPQ database Guides requestor and provides alternative solutions if not possible to satisfy request due to limitations in land or air capacities or regulatory issues. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement High School Diploma or GED 3 years international air freight operations with import/export knowledge 1 year airfreight pricing experience Prior quotation experience to customers and overseas offices Understanding of various components required for international air freight shipments Some knowledge of pricing levels of airfreight pricing for Canada import/export shipments a plus KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES Organizational skills Time management and prioritization Customer-focused Able to recognize trends & recommend price adjustments accordingly Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as freight rates, discounts, and other percentages Analytical skills / problem-solving ability Strong written and verbal skills communication skills in English in order to present information to customers, management, and subordinates in a professional setting Adaptable / flexible to high-pressured environment Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Email, and Internet Confidence to make decisions, influence across reporting lines Ability to analyze scope of service and determine corresponding operational costs Basic knowledge of dangerous goods, hazmat certified a plus Knowledge of various aircraft space , weight and size limitations Knowledge of regulatory environment affecting air shipments Procurement experience a plus PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is: Frequently required to stand, and walk Regularly required to sit for extended periods Regularly uses arms to reach, hands and fingers for computer and phone use Speaking clearly and listening for heavy phone contact Requires close-up and computer screen distance vision ability WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics are similar of those of an office setting with various office equipment.
