This position has a base compensation range of CAD $70,000.00 to CAD $80,000.00. The Road Freight Pricing Specialist is the primary contact for prospect negotiation of rates and find carriers capacity for domestic and cross border (USA, and Mexico) to satisfy Road Freight operation’s needs, as well as, ensuring compliance with the activities related with carriers’ management and operations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Negotiate Road Freight Lane costs with carriers to provide the best options for operations. Manage Hellmann-Carrier relationship to provide the right capacity in the day-to-day operation. To support carriers vetting (audit) team with all information related to carrier management documents. Establish and maintain lasting relationships with carriers, partners, and other suppliers to work together, developing innovative solutions to solve problems creatively, and to exceed customer expectations by providing excellent service. Handling bids or RFQs according to customer targets or the best market cost possible. Collaborate with your team and your supervisor in a proactive way to meet the objectives of the department seeking to increase the efficiency and productivity of the road domestic and cross-border operations, seeking to improve processes to optimize results. Support Canada cross border operation quoting with transparency and efficiency. Build relationships between countries for cross-border integration (Pricing Department). Ensure all transportation activities comply with GDP regulations and company policies. Oversee the implementation and monitoring of temperature-controlled logistics to maintain product integrity. Develop and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure consistent and reliable service. Identify and mitigate risks associated with the transportation of pharmaceuticals. Provide training to staff on GDP requirements and best practices in the Road Freight operation. Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including temperature logs, shipping manifests, and incident reports. Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Work closely with other departments, including warehousing and customer service, to ensure seamless operations. Performs other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not supervise any direct reports. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement High School Diploma or GED. Three years of experience with domestic operations, pricing, and projects. Completion of any industry-related course is an asset.
