Sales Support Engineer

Essential Tasks:

Generate accurate quotes, technical estimates, and complete Bill of Materials (BOMs) for hydraulic power units and systems.
Prepare technical documentation, including exploded drawings, layout diagrams, and hydraulic schematics.
Assist in evaluating customer requirements and providing recommendations for product configurations.
Work with internal engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and alignment with customer specifications.
Collaborate with the Sales Manager to develop compelling proposals and respond to RFQs.
Act as a technical liaison during the sales process, helping address customer questions and design considerations.
Provide post-sale support by coordinating with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and on-time delivery.
Respond to customer inquiries after the sale, including requests for documentation, technical assistance, and troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate records of customer communications and sales activities in CRM tools.
Follow up with customers post-delivery to ensure satisfaction and capture feedback for continuous improvement.
Gain in-depth knowledge of The Firm's product lines, system capabilities, and customer applications.
Develop skills and relationships to transition into a Technical Sales Representative role.
Support trade shows, product demos, and occasional site visits as needed.

Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, or Fluid Power Engineering (or equivalent experience).
1â3 years of experience in a sales support, inside sales, or engineering environmentâ preferably in hydraulics or industrial equipment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent CAD software.
Strong understanding of hydraulic components and system design.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with customers and cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking ability.
Eagerness to grow into a customer-facing sales engineering role.
