The Work
Reporting to the Associate Director, Product Delivery and working alongside IT, the Associate Product Manager is responsible for implementing strategies and leading small projects to optimize customer service via SFR Retail Lending Transformation digital channels.
The Core Responsibilities!
- With direction, responsible for customer service experience in online/mobile channels; strategy and roadmaps for service functionality in all channels, including business cases and other justification.
- Provide input and recommendations to support the decision-making process for digital channels, i.e., browser support, mobile device/OS support.
- Support and provide input into the development of roadmaps for the Digital Channels backlog in all channels, including prioritization, user story development, customer experience and user interface design.
- Leverage analytics to understand customer behaviors and inform decision making on product improvements.
- Gathering input and product feedback from internal and external stakeholders
- Lead the delivery of new products and features in digital channels that are small/medium in size and complex.
- Working with legal, compliance, fraud, etc. to ensure protection of Equitable, and especially our customers.
- Estimate and complete test plans, manage test case repositories, execute tests, review deliverables, participate in defect meetings, and provide status reports.
Support the Manager in Product Operations Tasks, Including but not Limited to:
- Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product operations.
- Monitoring and reporting on product performance metrics.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures, including conducting regular reviews to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Managing product documentation and ensuring it is up to date.
- Facilitating communication between product teams and other departments.
- Providing training and support to team members on product operations best practices and tools.
Let's Talk About You!
- Post-Secondary Degree in Commerce, Management, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, etc. MBA or other graduate degree a plus.
- 2+ years of Canadian Financial Institution experience, working directly with online and/or mobile banking channels is an asset.
- Familiarity and expertise with consumer technology, both common and leading.
- Familiarity with user experience & design principles, specifically for digital interactions.
- Strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to initiate and execute projects.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
