Identify, develop, and nurture relationships with key partners (such as Provincial and Territorial Associations, sector influencers), and stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives and mutual value.

Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budgets.

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., GMF Programs, CFSI, MDO, PPA O\&E teams) to deliver on partnership objectives and optimize outcomes.

Monitor partner performance and prepare regular reports (post-activation and quarterly) and updates for senior leadership.

Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including conferences, sponsorship activations, GMF presence at FCM Annual Conference.

Develop event strategies to align with business goals, including audience acquisition, engagement, and ROI.

Oversee event logistics such as venue selection, vendor coordination, budgeting, registration processes, and post-event analysis.

Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote events and partnerships.

Ensure exceptional event experiences that reflect the brand's values and reputation.
You bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in partnership development, business development, event management, or a related role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing high-value partnerships and executing large-scale events.
- Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent project management, budgeting, and organizational abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in tools such as CRM platforms , project management software (Asana), and MS Office/Google Workspace.
- Ability to travel as needed for events and partner engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in municipal affairs and/or financial services
- Previous leadership or team management experience. Demonstrated ability to ensure team accountability for performance and ROI
- Familiarity with event-specific tools (e.g., Eventbrite, Microspec).
- Strong analytical skills to assess partnership ROI and event metrics.

While you do need to live in Canada for this role, you can primarily work from home. Travel may be required to Head Office in Ottawa periodically. The majority of the GMF team operates from the National Capital Region.

We do like to visit the areas we are impacting and it allows us to see unique and wonderful parts of our country. You may find yourself traveling nationally 10-15% of the time.
