Key Accountabilities:
- Secondary support for the simulation technologist in Thunder Bay in setting up, rotating, cleaning, and maintaining, simulation equipment during intensive periods.
- Support the Simulation Program in Thunder Bay.
- Complete the simulation equipment catalogue – a document consolidating important manufacturer information about all simulation equipment at each base and a tracking system for where various simulation assets are located.
- Assist the Program Lead for Initial Education in auditing competency tracking completion by preceptors and collating assessment data from simulation weeks for interpretation and review by faculty educators.
- Assist the Program Lead for CPD in tracking of Additional Credits and data tracking surrounding CPD completion prior to the start of the second CPD Term.
- Assist in daily operations of Thunder Bay Ornge base.
- Provide administrative support.
- Tracking of medical equipment.
- Administrative tasks include faxing, scanning, photocopying, filing and document preparation.
- Internal and external meetings (including videoconference and teleconference).
- Data entry.
- Support scheduling of students and faculty for education events.
- Preparation for education events – support simulation set up and take down & classroom bookings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Preference for current students in health care or aviation programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Very good organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize work and balance multiple fluctuating and highly demanding priorities.
- Proven advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of programs particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to employ tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive issues.
