The Canada Operations (CanOps) Business Delivery team is looking for a Sr. Business Analyst who will report to the Manager -- Wealth Systems Support. The Sr. Business Analyst plays an important role that represents the business needs for Individual Wealth strategic initiatives.
The role is responsible for collaborating with various stakeholders to evaluate, identify, document, analyze and execute opportunities and business requirements within projects and initiatives to achieve operational excellence, ensure successful project/initiative delivery and improve the quality-of-service experience.
What you will do
- Critical analysis of projects and initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement to assess risk, determine viability and manage expectations to achieve the objectives of the business.
- Provides a combination of guiding, facilitation and design of test plans and criteria for acceptance testing of system changes, ensuring that overall testing effort represents business and system requirements
- Designing and implementing reporting and allocation strategies for data gathering, reviewing, and visualizing for BAU, project and initiatives.
- Contribute to the design, build, execute, and verification of automated and manual functional and non-functional tests, including test data requirements needed for test execution
- Establish and own business analyst review cycles for docu
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of work to maximize quality, build credibility, and improve productivity and efficiency through a process improvement lens.
- Conducts research and utilizes data, relationships and industry trends to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Identify risks and escalate issues in timely manner
- Provides routine status updates and participates in defect triage and other testing meetings
- Direct own work through goal setting, time management and planning to meet project deadlines
- Build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders quickly and confidently, to positively influence outcomes
- Identify, recommend and champion improvement opportunities within the team.
What you will bring
- Degree in Business Administration and/or Business Analyst certification and/or Lean Six Sigma certification required
- 3 years in a business analyst, change management or process improvement related role.
- 3 years of experience in strategic delivery, with a proven track record of success in the financial services industry.
- Knowledge of Insurance and Wealth products and our business would be beneficial.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow and data visualization tools and concepts
- Experience in a project QA environment preferred, with understanding of testing principles and methodologies is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to positively affect change through influence and partnership
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving and follow-through abilities
- Ability to break down complex situations, identify and resolve root causes
- Must be self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task in an environment of changing processes and priorities
- Ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge and skills, and apply creative thinking to solve problems
Certification in project management is nice to have

The base salary for this position is between $55,700 - $ 97,700 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
