The Project Coordinator will be responsible for providing overall administrative and technical expertise required support to a large-scale construction project. Primary Scope of Role:Assist the Superintendent in managing work on-site to ensure the compliance of construction with the drawings and specifications Support the Superintendent and Project Manager in planning and implementing schedules, determining manpower levels, material quantities, inspections, equipment, and requirements are maintained
Monitor work performance to ensure project rules, procedures, and safety requirements are being followed
Advise of potential problems, work interferences, and schedule difficulties and assist in resolving these problems
Maintain and analyze up-to-date cost reports and submit necessary changes to ensure the project is delivered within budget
Meet with Owners and Consultants, and have the ability to communicate effectively both the concerns and best interests of the company
Monitors project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, equipment maintenance, safety and quality control
Interfaces with project team, subcontractors and related third parties
Monitors and inspects project site to maintain a safe work environment and provides leadership to ensure policies, procedures and standards are followed.Position Requirements:Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field. A EIT or CET designation is preferred2 years of construction experience desired
Experience on MTO road construction projects is desired
Experience in AFP/P3 Design-Build projects is an asset.Exposure to all aspects of road and bridge building
