Job Description Client Profile
- Regional law firm specializing in; Business and Transactions; Commercial Real Estate and Development; Employment Law; Litigation and Dispute Resolution; Secured Lending and Enforcement; Tax; and Wills and Estates.
- Represents individuals, businesses, and corporations on a local, regional, and international level.
- Office conveniently located in Downtown Toronto!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist legal assistants with drafting accounts and finalizing same
- Record firm receipts and report daily deposits
- Update client collections reports
- Attend monthly meetings with partners to review accounts receivables
- Regularly follow-up with clients on overdue accounts
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Successful completion of a University or College Accounting program
- 1 year experience working in professional services is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Experience working with legal accounting software and a document management system, e.g., iManage, is an asset
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills in order to manage multiple priorities in order to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills, both written and oral, to help build relationships and provide excellent client service
- Confident self-starter, who can work well both independently and in a team environment
- Operate with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Show good judgment and respond well to constructive feedback
