Lead the end-to-end management of planning projects including zoning amendments, official plan amendments, and site plan approvals and building permits.

Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants (e.g., planners, architects, engineers, legal).

Liaise with municipal planning departments, conservation authorities, and other government agencies to facilitate approvals.

review and coordinate all internal and external reports/drawings and information to ensure a timely progression of applications.

Manage project budgets, timelines, and deliverables; proactively address delays or challenges.

Represent clients at public meetings, community consultations, and Council/Committee hearings.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of provincial planning policy (e.g., PPS, Growth Plan, Greenbelt Plan) and local municipal policies.

Ensure compliance with the Planning Act and applicable legislation.

Provide strategic advice to clients on development potential, land use feasibility, and risk management.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Public Administration, or a related field.

Registered Professional Planner (RPP) designation or eligibility for membership with OPPI is not required but a plus.

5+ years of progressive experience in land use planning, preferably with zoning/OPA/site plan files in Ontario.

Strong knowledge of Ontario's planning framework and municipal development processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare and or present professional planning documents.

Proven project management skills, including experience handling multiple projects with competing deadlines.

Proficiency in MS Office including Microsoft project.

Experience working with private sector developers, planning consulting firms, or municipal planning departments would be an asset

Familiarity with community engagement strategies would be an asset

Understanding of environmental, heritage, and transportation planning considerations in land development would be an asset
