Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled professional to perform inspection and testing of asphalt \& aggregates.
The successful candidate will conduct field testing, including sampling, coring and compaction of various materials.
They will maintain accurate and complete records of testing activities.
Assistance with proper care, control and maintenance of testing equipment is required, including timely calibrations of assigned equipment.
FOLLOWING ALL COMPANY AND REGULATORY SAFETY POLICIES AND PROCEDURES IS MANDATORY.
Reports and checklists must be completed as per company policies or contract requirements.
The candidate will advise supervisors of any non-conformances and deviations.
Additional responsibilities may include laboratory testing of materials when required.
Requirements:
• A post-secondary education in a 2- or 3-year college program such as civil/construction engineering technology or an equivalent program would be an asset but is not required.
• Prior construction project or material testing experience would also be an asset but is not required.
• Bilingual skills in French and English would be an asset.
• A valid G driver's license and clean driver's abstract are mandatory.
• The ability to travel and work on remote projects throughout Ontario is required.
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends as needed is essential.
• The ability to work long shifts and extended hours, with overtime as necessary, is also required.
