Intermediate to advanced COBOL programming skills

Ability to troubleshoot failed batch jobs and programs

Provide production support for the main client deposit system (Depo)
-
Support the nightly batch on an on-call basis
-
Investigate and resolve any technical issues, incidents, or processing anomalies occurring in the batch
-
Provide the response and required explanation for any user inquiry related to the apps, including account and interest statements
-
Provide data extractions on balances, accounts, and transactions users may request
-
Perform analysis for enhancements to be developed
-
Provide estimates for developments and testing efforts
-
Prepare technical design and technical specifications documents as required
-
Maintain the application's technical documentation
-
Perform integrated testing with related applications as assigned
-
Maintain the current status of all assigned requests in Jira
-
Create and manage the change requests for the application
-
Update the team leader and management on all assignments daily
-
Adhere to all client policies and mandatory training requirements in a timely manner

Experience in the Open VMS operating system preferred
-
Intermediate to advanced OS scripting skills, preferably in Open VMS DCL
-
Development skills for system enhancements, ad hoc requests, and data extractions
-
Beginner to intermediate SQL query skills in an Oracle database (or similar)
-
Batch support experience working with Control M or a comparable enterprise job scheduler
-
Familiarity with the SPLC and change requests/implementation

Intermediate to advanced PL/SQL and Oracle database skills
-
Intermediate to advanced Linux scripting skills
-
Experience in the banking or other financial services industry

Knowledge of accounting, at least a basic level

Experience with or understanding of deposit account interest calculation
-
Previous exposure to SWIFT statements is a plus

Documentation skills for developments, implementation release plans, and run book updates
