Job Description: Key Responsibilities:
- Provides exceptional customer service to guests in an upbeat, positive and professional manner;
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge of all food and beverage items available;
- Takes food and beverage orders from guests in a friendly manner and provides recommendations to guests on menu specials;
- Delivers food and beverage items to guests from the bar and kitchen in a prompt manner;
- Restocks, cleans and organizes all related work equipment and areas;
- Processes all cash and credit card transactions utilizing the P.O.S. system;
- Ensures accurate cash handling and balancing of sales and/or cash float at the end of the shift;
- Clears dirty dishes, empty glassware and cleans tables properly;
- Ensures all tables and chairs are setup and organized in the section;
- Assists other co-workers as need and/or as requested;
- Understands and follows opening and closing server duties;
- Adheres to all AGCO, GCGC, departmental and HR policies as they relate to functions of the role;
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all alcohol related house policies, practices and Smart Serve guidelines;
- Monitors and communicates all beverage alcohol activities at break and shift end;
- Regular cleaning and sanitization of tables, refrigerators, side stands and other equipment in the work area;
- Performs preventive maintenance and cleaning of food and beverage equipment as required;
Education and Qualification Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent working experience;

Minimum one (1) year of serving experience in a high-volume establishment;

Previous restaurant experience in a casino environment is an asset;

Valid Smart Serve Certificate required;

Previous cash handling experience required;

Previous P.O.S system experience an asset;

Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, customer service and communication skills;

Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees and management as part of a team;

Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;

Ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.

Bilingual (English/French) is an asset but not required

Fast paced with multiple priorities, deadlines and deliverables; exposure to some conflict, distress and noise;

This role requires bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting up to 45 lbs, etc.

This role requires a flexible schedule that adapts to the business needs of a 24 hour operation; will have non-traditional work hours including evening and weekend shifts.
