Perform tasks specified by his/her manager;

Inspection \& witness Electrical installation/erection and commissioning activities for the underground and overhead lines

Daily site inspection during the assigned hours by his/her manager for day time and night time and weekend (if required)

Ensure that onsite work completed at the client's location is consistent with the mandate, is completed on time and is conducted in a professional manner with meticulous attention to detail in order to provide excellent service;

Oversee the material test for ongoing electrical work installation activities for conformance to project drawings, specifications, building codes, time schedules, budget levels and other applicable regulations

Identify and analyse client needs;

Document control, Tracking project information/document/drawings to make sure using the valid documents

Produce various reports including daily, weekly and at month end;

Complete applications for creating new customer accounts/information

Manage project information

Maintaining project documents, latest standard and share it with other inspectors as required

Review Contractor UPCMS and Billing/change orders or Prepare UPCMS Billing/change orders as required

Follow up with client/contractor to get required documents

Maintain projects status (project physical and financial progress)

Prepare project progress statements/reports

Working with other team member to prepare reports and send them to client

Respond to customer/contractor inquiries, maintain good relationships with contractor/Client and solve problems;

Work with project manager to serve the client with different type of reports and work out with contractor's representatives

Prepare excel sheet/spreadsheets for projects information, and contractors

Tracking project close out documents and manage reports

Helping project manager and team member to provide new documents as per project needs

Other office works to submit reports and documents to client/contractors

Going to client and project locations to pick up/deliver documents and visiting site condition and other inspector activities and also cover the other team members if required

Plan and prepare work to be completed onsite at the client's location or job site (documents, equipment)

Review technical specifications;

Review design drawings to ensure all of them are comply with Canadian standards and Toronto Hydro Standards,

Review Shop Drawings and compare them with original designs

Coordinate with Owner to obtain all of permits and make sure they are all valid during project construction
-
Review the relevant documents prior to start of construction, monitoring and verify construction including Quality Assurance, physical progress, evaluate filed change requests \& make recommendations
-
Coordination with owner, 3rd parties and their Constructor \& Subcontractors and provide feedbacks related to the findings
-
Prepare deficiency lists, non-conforming notices and monitor resolution and disposition of quality-related issues, punch-list and outstanding work to completion of the work and carry out final construction review

Issuing and tracking Quality NCRs to contractors as for not following drawings, standards, projects requirements and client regulation/procedure
-
Issuing and tracking Safety NCRs to contractors as for not following safety rules, Safety Regulations, safe work procedures and standards, projects requirements and client regulation/procedure

Track and manage project milestones to ensure all of activities performed in a timely manner
-
Attending in project meetings, chairing project meetings including engineering/consultant meetings, permitting, bi-weekly meetings
-
Preparing agenda, attending in pre-con meeting, chairing meetings \& preparing meeting memo
-
Prepare clear and concise reports within the prescribed time frames in same day of inspection
-
Participate in preparing check list and job inspection test plans and quality assurance procedures
-
Responsible for tracking project information and all type of communications with project parties
-
Managing/tracking monthly billing from contractor and follow up to approve and submit to client
-
Preparing UPCMS billing for any project as required
-
Tracking project invoices and Billing status
-
Verify work quantities and project changes
-
Follow client change order procedure and audit, verify and approve contractor change orders
-
Verifying contractor UPCMS billing and their physical progress claiming
-
Preparing project close out reports, lesson learned, issue substantial completion certificate \& payment certificate
-
Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, filing and photocopying documents and issuing certificates, complete special projects.

Review and sign off on close package to make it ready to certify substantial completion by P.Eng
-
Review all of the GCF/RCF documents as per SGS check list and Client procedures
-
Sign off close out documents as required
-
Participating in project close out meetings and process
-
Performing Site final walk down and preparing deficiency list, issue in-complete work tickets and approve attainment claim request.

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and MUST HAVE a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician or Certified Engineering Technologist in Electrical Engineering \& Red seal Journeyman; Red Seal Journeyman is a must

Experience: over 7 years of relevant experience in construction site;
-
Knowledge of the following electrical standards; Canadian Electrical Code, NFPA 70 (NEC), IEC, ASTM, ANSI, IEEE, UL, API.
-
Inspection experience with the following components; power cables, overhead line conductors, transformers, reactors, protection relay and control panels, motors and generators, switchgear, telecommunication equipment, etc.

Qualification according to the following certifications would be a major asset: C.E.T.

Ability to write detailed and comprehensive technical reports in Word and/or Excel format.

Proven ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.

Excellent in maintaining records of work quality and overseeing project non-conformance reporting process

Experienced in monitoring construction, work schedule, keep daily inspection logs, photographs \& receipt inspections, communicate project status, ensuring execution proficiency, accuracy, and professionalism

Knowledge in project scope, change control, defect and warranty claims, escalating issues \& resolve disputes

Knowledge in bid processes, purchase order, negotiation and contract, effective management of select assignments, budget, procurement and working with suppliers and vendors and ensuring owner satisfaction

Excellent in developing project documents, procedures to support QA and QC, complete the necessary quality forms related to monitoring or inspection work; obtain information required for carrying out the work

Ability to read and interpret drawings\& specifications based on engineered design.

Experience in underground utility projects

Knowledge on reading underground utility drawings and locate drawings

Knowledge on hydro vacuum excavation and day lighting

Experience in temporary support for underground utilities (cable, water main, gas, ...)

Knowledge in City of Toronto MCR and regulation for Construction/development in Urban

Knowledge in minimum clearances for construction around utilities

Experience in Inspection \& Test witness of construction material.

Experience in project management. Knowledge of Primavera is an asset.

Certification for the provincial Working at Heights - Fundamentals of Fall Prevention

Knowledgeable in the application of the Electrical Utility Safety Rules and the applicable industry requirements of the Ontario Health \& Safety Act.

Certified in CPR/First Aid

Completed numerous Infrastructure Health \& Safety Association (IHSA) courses including: Overhead and Underground Rescue Techniques, Transportation of Dangerous Goods

Ability to read and interpret complex schematic diagram/drawings.

Ability to write detailed and comprehensive technical reports in Word and/or Excel format.
