OpportunityWe are looking for a 3rd or 4th year Mechanical Engineering student for a summer term starting in May through to August. This is a hands-on opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers, contribute to real-world projects, and gain valuable industry experience in design, testing, and development.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the mechanical design team in maintaining and developing 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, or similar)Assist in the prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical components
Perform basic engineering calculations and tolerance analyses
Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback into design revisions
Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOMs) and engineering documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, firmware, and manufacturing
Conduct research on materials, components, and design approaches as needed Qualifications and Skills3rd or 4th year enrollment in Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits, and systems
Familiarity with schematic design software (e.g., Altium Designer, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks)Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Python, C, or C ) is a plus
Experience with testing equipment like oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters is an asset
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
