About the role Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Collaborating with suppliers to identify areas for improvement and providing guidance and support for process enhancements.
- Investigating and addressing supplier-related issues, such as non-conformances, quality discrepancies, and delivery delays, in a timely and effective manner.
- Fostering open and transparent communication with suppliers to ensure mutual understanding of expectations and objectives.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, and Regulatory, to align supplier performance with company goals.
- Participating in projects under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
- Supporting the planning, scheduling, and coordination of different phases of engineering work and projects.
- Interfacing with suppliers, with support from cross-functional team members, to investigate supplied material issues or supply constraints.
- Supporting the execution of NCEP/CAPA investigations to determine and address root causes for process deviations and component modifications.
- Supporting NCEP/CAPA investigations where defects in supplied materials are identified elsewhere in production.
- Supporting product complaint investigations where supplied material is a potential root cause, using basic statistical tools where appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably biomedical.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience as a Supplier Engineer.
- General knowledge of statistical tools, such as Minitab.
- Proficiency in report writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a regulated environment per ISO13485 and FDA guidelines.
- Experience working with nuclear medicine and radioactive materials.
- Experience working in process improvement initiatives and using Six Sigma and lean manufacturing tools
