Our WSP Contaminated Sites team in Calgary is growing, and as a result we're adding a Project Manager to our group serving a variety of industrial and government clients in Northern Alberta as well as the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. You will have access to and work with an Edmonton based team of higher experienced professionals including hydrogeologists, engineers, Geochemists and technical staff.

What you can expect to do here:
- Participate in a team environment, working closely with Project Coordinators, other Project Managers, Senior Project Directors/Technical Leads, and Field Technicians/Scientists/Engineers;
- Prepare Health and Safety plans and Emergency response plans;
- Prepare proposals and cost estimates, schedule field staff and subcontractors, compile data for, and write reports including conclusions and recommendations;
- Responsible for project accounting, tracking, and reporting requirements to the terms of reference under WSP's Master Services Agreements;
- Train junior staff in environmental practices including Phase I and II ESAs, drilling, surveying, groundwater sampling, oversight of remediation, etc. as well as on-site specific health and safety;
- Interface with clients to ensure needs are met and projects/proposals are moving forward;
- Provide support to other members of the Contaminated Sites Management Group in sharing health and safety, project management, project completion, and client service responsibilities.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geoscience, Biology, or related discipline;
- Minimum of 2 -- 7 years of relevant experience;
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills;
- A strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and organize large amounts of data/information;
- Experience working with budgets in Excel with high attention to detail;
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe;
- Experience in a Business Operations type of role would be advantageous.
