The Structural Building Team is currently looking for a Structural Engineer to support the growth of the Ontario capabilities, specifically for the team based in Toronto.
This role will be based in Toronto, Ontario.
Your role in the team
- Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.).
- Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections.
- Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase.
- Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and Ontario Building Code.
- Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.).
- Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships.

The ideal candidate
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master's degree in Structural Engineering is an asset. Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation.
- 7 - 10 years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities.
