What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist customers with U-Haul products and services both in-person and via technology
- Manage rentals and inventory using smartphone-based U-Scan technology
- Clean, inspect, and maintain equipment on the lot, including checking fluid levels
- Prepare rental invoices and accept returned equipment
- Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a good driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting equipment weighing at least 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in environments with moderate risks requiring safety precautions
- Availability for scheduled work shifts and participation in training programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in customer service or related fields
- Familiarity with rental equipment or moving services
- Certification in forklift operation or propane filling (training provided)
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
