Job Description Responsibilities:
- Represents the Michener Institute at recruitment fairs and tradeshows locally, nationally, and internationally. Prepares and delivers presentations to effectively create awareness of Michener programs and its brand. Maintains updated knowledge and understanding of Michener Institute's programs and courses, admissions policies/requirements, and career pathways.
- Under the direction of the Recruitment Coordinator and/or the Associate Registrar, organizes, coordinates, and executes key Michener events such as Virtual Program Week, Open House, Spring Fling and Yield Event. Assists the Recruitment Coordinator in conducting post-event review and analysis of participants' demographics and to present such information on an annual basis to the Associate Registrar.
- Responds to all inquiries that may include but not limited to program information, admission requirements, and campus tour requests by phone, e-mail and in person.
- Conducts campus tours in conjunction with Student Ambassadors. Responsible for coordinating group tour requests from high schools and other organizations interested in Michener's programs.
- Assists the Recruitment Coordinator and the Registrar and the Associate Registrar, Enrolment Management and Systems in reviewing, and updating recruitment and admission materials (web or print) which includes but not limited to Admission and Event Webpages, presentation slides, viewbook, brochures, etc. Coordinates such changes to Communications and Marketing when required.
- Assists the Recruitment Coordinator and the Associate Registrar in planning and development of recruitment initiatives including tracking and analysis of recruitment data. Recommends appropriate schools/areas to visit based on data analysis and market trends.
- Working with CRM, maintains robust list of post-secondary and secondary institution contacts and prospective applicants. Tracks number of inquiries received per year and by program.
- Other duties as assigned by the Associate Registrar and/or the Registrar.
Qualifications
- Minimum education requirement of bachelor's degree. Undergraduate degree on marketing, communications, public relations an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in student recruitment at the post-secondary level.
- Experience in event planning, data collection, online communication strategies, and development of marketing materials (print/web) preferred.
- Familiarity in the use of CRM considered an asset.
- Student career guidance experience is desirable but not required.
- A valid G2 driver's license.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong event planning and organization.
- Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire.
