We are looking for an experienced UI Lead to oversee our user interface design and development processes within the banking domain. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design and development, with a deep understanding of banking applications and customer experience. This role involves leading a team of UI developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring that our financial products provide an exceptional user experience.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD $110k - CAD $120k/year \& benefits.
++The Role++
++Responsibilities:++
- Lead the UI development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to define user interface requirements and create design specifications.
- Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications that adhere to best practices in UI/UX design.
- Conduct usability testing and gather user feedback to improve the overall user experience and interface design.
- Ensure that UI designs are consistent with branding and regulatory guidelines within the banking sector.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices in UI development and banking applications.
- Implement and promote UI development standards, guidelines, and best practices within the team.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and quality assurance processes.
++Requirements:++
- Proven experience as a UI Lead or similar role, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js).
- Experience with design tools (e.g., Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch) and prototyping tools.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and responsive design principles.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and RESTful APIs to effectively collaborate with backend teams.
Preferred, but not required:
- Experience with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements impacting user interface design.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
