Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Business Analyst - Procure to Pay Stream Lead to join their team on a 18 months contract in Calgary. The successful candidate will be responsible for documenting and updating business processes across various functions including sourcing, procurement, receiving, accounts payable, and operations. Job Summary:This role will focus on business process documentation and improvement as part of a Source to Pay (S2P) transformation project.
The ideal candidate will work closely with Finance and Supply Chain teams to facilitate decision-making, training, and change management efforts. Additionally, this role will collaborate with system implementation partners to ensure business processes are accurately integrated into the new technology solution. The Business Analyst will also participate in testing phases (SIT \& UAT) and coordinate efforts across stakeholders and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:1. Business Process Documentation \& ImprovementWork with system implementation partners and business areas to document and refine business processes for sourcing, procurement, receiving, AP, and operations. Establish and maintain best practices to ensure process accuracy and consistency.
Assist in developing and delivering training materials for new or updated processes.2. Testing \& CoordinationParticipate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Plan and coordinate testing activities with business stakeholders and project teams.
Identify and document any issues or discrepancies, collaborating with the team for resolution and retesting.3. Stakeholder Collaboration \& CommunicationWork with business stakeholders to understand their needs and system requirements. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather and validate process-related information.
Manage sprint meetings and oversee JIRA board tracking. Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. Support the project manager in change management activities.4.
Continuous ImprovementIdentify and recommend process improvements and efficiencies. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented solutions. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in complex, cross-functional projects. Strong understanding of business processes related to procurement, receiving, and accounts payable. Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences.
Experience leading System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Experience with organizational change management in projects impacting people, processes, and technology. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in process documentation tools and software. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Source to Pay (S2P) or Procure to Pay (P2P) solutions such as GEP, Coupa, Ivalua, or Ariba. Experience with Maximo.
Business Analysis certification (CBAP, PMI-PBA, etc.). Experience using JIRA or similar project tracking tools.
