The Opportunity Roles and Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and managing the schedule for all of the Stewards while maintaining effective labour cost control
- Responsible for the disposal of metal, glass, plastic and other recycled products
- Maintain an inventory stock list of all food related kitchen ware as well as related cleaning products and chemicals used for the operation of the stewarding team
- Review the function notes for special events and ensure any set up requirements are completed
- Perform the duties of all the stewarding staff to ensure cleanliness of the supplies as well as the proper storage of inventory
- Communicate with the Lead Hands, Stewarding Manager, Sous Chefs and Executive Chef to coordinate daily operational needs
- Ensure a positive and safe work environment for all team members aligned with Banff Centre's policies
Qualifications and Educational Requirements

3 plus years' stewarding leadership experience in high volume hotels, resorts or restaurants is required

Strong administrative abilities and competence in Microsoft Office

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a physically demanding role; significant standing and walking, lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, reaching above and below shoulder height, bending, kneeling, twisting

In accordance with the terms of employment governing Management/PSP employees, this is a permanent, full time position, subject to a 6 month probation period working 40 hours per week.

The salary range for this position is $47,989 to $68,629 based on experience.
