Answer the Lab Support line, addressing in lab support requests and basic trouble shooting of lab equipment including Infrastructure and equipment under design or test.

You will provide support for all issues originating from the lab user community, including but not limited to:

Reconfiguring of Ciena Optical systems based on detailed information and/or drawings provided by system owners or project primes

Investigation and resolution of network infrastructure including ethernet connectivity and terminal server/serial port access on all lab equipment

Investigation and resolution of basic computing issues, test equipment and signal source issues.

Installation of software loads SW on Ciena equipment

Troubleshooting and repair of failed circuit packs

Provide guidance to the lab user community on lab processes

Locate equipment within the lab, including installation, removal, relocation, inventory and equipment maintenance.

Run, connect, clean, troubleshoot optical fibers
-
Maintenance of accurate records of specific details of all support requests.
