Position Summary Qualifications
- Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BSc.N. preferred
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (B.C.L.S.) certification
- Minimum one (1) year Medical/Surgical experience
- Completion of the Nephrology certificate or CNeph C
- Must have a minimum five (5) years experience in nephrology in-patient care, peritoneal dialysis and/or hemodialysis
- Current Peritoneal Dialysis teaching experience mandatory
- Certificate in Methods of Adult Education preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional decision making and problem solving skills
- Experience with the Baxter Home choice/Claria machine an advantage
- Family training experience with Peritoneal Dialysis. required Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Second language an advantage
- Valid Driver's License preferred
