Job Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Maintain strong level of UPS product knowledge and it's application.
- Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users.
- Provide design and specification development support to manufacturer's representative, end users, consultants, integrators, and distributors.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs for all UPS product portfolio.
- Listen, understand and convey customer requirements.
- Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.
- Maintain professional business relationships within target accounts.
- Perform technical/ product training for sales people, end users, and engineers at targeted accounts.
- Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company approved databases.
- Identify customers' needs and sales opportunities to help future growth.
- Provide status of ongoing projects and future projects.
- Travel to project sites to provide technical support as required.
Qualifications: Basic Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, Power Systems Engineering or related field from an accredited institution .
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the electrical industry.
- Proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office products.
- Available to travel up to 25% and have a valid driver's license.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within an 80-kilometer radius of the Toronto, ON facility will be considered.
- Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- P.eng or CET designation.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in marketing, sales, consulting and/or engineering.
- Direct experience as an application engineer or field service engineer.
- Knowledge of electrical products, software, digital solutions/ offerings and competitive products.
Skills:
- Ability to interpret architectural and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of electrical systems.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills leveraging analytical skills and tools such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing and web page.
