About Neuroscience
Our Neuroscience team tackles the world's toughest brain health challenges including multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, myasthenia gravis, epilepsy, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and autism. This patient-focused team helps address some of the most complex diseases of our time.
About the Role
The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing key priorities for advancing the brand's commercial strategy and working with cross functional partners including finance, supply chain, medical, strategic customer group, sales, regulatory and global along multiple external vendors to effectively develop and execute the go-to-market plan for the brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage the Marketing Excellence framework to gain strong customer insights and lead the strategic and tactical development of innovative customer focused marketing plans.
- Enhance customer value and accelerate growth through coordinated, cross-functional business plan development across the business nationally.
- Collaborate with global marketing and international partners on the Global Commercial Team in the development of current and future brand strategies.
- Build mutually beneficial relationships with key customers to understand needs and translate these into legitimate business opportunities.
- Provide strong formal and informal leadership and direction to Marketing Managers and business partners instrumental to the success of the brand.
- Actively contribute to the direction and shaping of our multiple myeloma portfolio strategy and the overall direction of the oncology business unit, creating an open and real environment for collaboration and alignment.
- Identify, recruit and develop top talent to support Janssen's leadership pipeline.
- Work collaboratively with sales, medical affairs, market access and other cross functional business partners to build and leverage interdependencies across our businesses and across divisions to drive innovation, accelerate growth and meet and exceed our financial commitments.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a University degree, preferably in science or business, is required.
- MBA is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- A minimum of 10 years business experience (e.g. Sales, Marketing, Market Access, etc.), with at least 5 years of marketing experience and proven performance.
- In-line marketing success and demonstrated people and organizational leadership.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical and forecasting skills are required, as are the abilities to master complexity and to integrate insights into strategies.
- Strong executive, verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience in marketing.
- Experience across various stages of product life cycles, including launch.
- Demonstrated track record of strong leadership capabilities with ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
- Heightened competence in strategic and tactical plan development, implementation/measurement, forecasting, and market research.
Other:
- This position requires 25% of travel domestically and internationally.
