In this role, you will be part of our Land Development Team which is part of our Central Canada Transportation \& Infrastructure Group, based in our Brampton, ON office. You will have the opportunity to work on numerous projects including site, residential subdivision, commercial/industrial, water resources, and transit. - Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with experience as a project design supervisor, leading teams including design engineers, design/drafters, and other members of the project teams as part of EXP's full-service delivery programs to meet project deadlines.
- Recognize the value of working in a dedicated team environment with a proven record for quality product and on-time delivery.
- Build strong working relationships with other in-house EXP disciplines including Buildings, Environment, Geotechnical, Hydrogeological, Transportation planning, and Landscape.
- With strong communication and report writing skills, use your ability to prioritize multiple project deliverables in short timelines.
- Proficiently work in an AutoCAD Civil 3D drawing environment.
- Work on projects in MicroStation and OpenRoads Designer programs.
- Utilize your knowledge in the design of roads, storm and sanitary sewer systems, water distribution systems, stormwater management, and grading to layout site servicing (storm, sanitary, and water) and stormwater designs.
- With familiarity of various Municipal \& Regional design criteria/guidelines and drafting standards.
- Calculate earthworks including cost considerations using various programs.
- Provide mitigation measures using your understanding of various constraints (environmental, design...).
- Understand and follow requirements for Residential, Commercial, Industrial site, and Transit projects.
What your experience looks like

P.Eng. or C.E.T. with relevant experience, licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario.

7-10 years minimum relevant work experience.

Project delivery, client satisfaction, and mentoring project design team skills.

Experience in the preparation of construction specifications including private supplemental specifications, technical specifications, as well as Master Format and Uniformat specifications is desired.

A detailed level of knowledge in civil engineering design of hospital, land and site development, transit requirements and municipal/agency approvals, including:

Stormwater Management Design knowledge.

Site Grading, Drainage, Servicing Design for Sanitary and Water services.

Earthworks.
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

Strong knowledge and experience working in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Experience in preparing contract documents and specifications; as well as contract administration.

Asset to have experience managing multiple alternate project implementation and delivery methods, including Project Design Construct (PDC), Design-Bid-Build (DBB), Design Build (DB), Design Build Finance and Maintain (DBFM), and Public Private Partnerships (P3).

Asset to have experience in the development of performance specifications including Project Specific Output Specifications (PSOS) documents, review of design submittals and identification of non-conformances to project requirements.
