Job Description
This 6-month contract position is responsible for the overall handling of automobile physical damage claims assigned in a timely, courteous and professional fashion including minor to moderate losses.
Summary Of Role \& Responsibilities
- Confirm policy coverage and interpret policy conditions
- Investigate and analyze the circumstances of the loss
- Negotiate a satisfactory settlement and settle within file authority
- Communicate with other departments through the handling of the file
- Maintain a current diary system and document all conversations and file activity
Necessary Knowledge, Skills And Attributes
- Familiar with the OAP1 and legislative revisions
- Energetic, enthusiastic individual who is able to work independently and contribute as part of a team
- Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Education And Experience
- 3-5 years' experience adjusting auto physical damage claims.
- College/University degree or equivalent
- Working towards CIP designation
- Property Claims experience would be an asset
