Our client, a well-established mid-sized litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Lawyer to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity to work on high-quality files in a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.
🔍 Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a broad range of insurance defense matters including MVA, property damage, occupiers' liability, and SABS
• Handle files from inception to resolution, including discoveries, mediations, motions, and trial work
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, and court materials
• Maintain regular communication with clients, insurers, and opposing counsel
• Work autonomously with support from senior lawyers as needed
✅ Qualifications:
• 3--6 years of post-call experience in insurance defense or plaintiff personal injury
• Confident advocate with strong litigation and drafting skills
• Organized, responsive, and comfortable with independent file carriage
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
