About the role
We're looking for a Claims Assistant I to join our growing team!
As a Claims Assistant I, Salvage your work will have a big impact for providing administrative assistance and front-line quality customer service in the settlement of insurance claims under minimal supervision.
What you'll do here:
- Support the CSC in attaining strong recovery and claims cycle time results on total loss and theft files through the timely sale/disposal of salvage
- Analyze total loss claims files prior to approving sale of salvage/transfer of ownership to Intact's name
- Prepare forms and correspondence to insurance clients, vendors and legal representatives
- Administer file storage and retrieval process for closed files
- Respond to routine vendor and customer inquiries and concerns and escalate more complex cases according to Intact's policies and procedures
- Identify process improvements with management
What you bring to the table:
- High School or College Diploma including business/administration training or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 1-3 years of work experience.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to consistently perform at a superior level with respect to both the accuracy and volume of work completed
- Effective communications skills with an emphasis on customer service.
- Strong computer skills or training with standard office applications including strong data entry skills.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
