The Nunavut Fisheries and Marine Training Consortium (NFMTC) is seeking a strategic, community-minded Executive Director to lead training and workforce development in Nunavut's fishing industry.
This senior leadership role involves working closely with the Board, stakeholders, and educators to deliver impactful marine training programs, support student recruitment and success, and align programming with industry needs. The Executive Director will oversee facility operations, manage assets and simulators, ensure financial accountability, and secure funding for growth and innovation.
Strong leadership, program development, stakeholder engagement, and administrative skills are essential. Experience in marine or fisheries sectors and northern communities is an asset.
Qualifications:
· University degree or diploma in business, project management, or related field
· 10 years' experience in marine training or education
· 5--7 years in operations/facility management
· Experience with not-for-profits and contribution agreements
· Excellent leadership, communication, budgeting, and organizational skills
· Inuktitut fluency is an asset; valid driver's license required
